Our certified guides will take you to the massive Kukulkan pyramid, "El Castillo" (the castle), which is located roughly at the center of the site. Its construction was planned so that during each Vernal Equinox the dying sun would cast a shadow of a serpent (the Mayan God Kukulkan) writhing down the steps of the pyramid.
Right after our visit to this Ceremonial Center, we will have the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful and magnificent cenotes (sinkholes) in the area. Swim and relax before continuing on your adventure.
By the end of the day, we will also visit some of the Mayan communities and if we are lucky, we will be able to interact with some of the Mayan inhabitants of the area.
